A Young Company with a Long History
in Upstate New York.

Today’s Bellevue Builders Supply was incorporated on November 1, 2009. But don’t think we are a start-up company with limited experience.  Bellevue Builders Supply traces its history back to 1936, when it was founded in the Bellevue neighborhood of Schenectady, NY by Joseph Lucarelli Sr.  The Company was turned over to Joe Lucarelli Jr. in 1957 and, under his direction, in 1968 it surpassed $1 million in annual sales. 

In 1973, Bellevue Builders Supply moved to its current location on Duanesburg Road in Schenectady.  The business continued to grow, even when a 1987 fire destroyed the truss plant causing almost $2 million in damages.  A new truss facility was quickly built in its place.

In 1993, Bellevue Builders Supply opened a new drive-thru warehouse, which set the standard in warehousing and customer service.  To further expansion goals, Archer Building Supply and its six locations were purchased in 1996. 

In 2009, Bellevue Builders Supply was acquired by the US LBM Holdings, LLC family, a private equity firm formed by BlackEagle Partners, LLC in partnership with US LBM president, LT Gibson. US LBM is one of the fastest growing companies in the building supply industry and is recognized as the 13th largest lumber and building materials distributor in the country.  As of 2012, the platform consists of more than 40 locations in eight states, with nearly 1,500 associates servicing the professional building market from seven individually-operated and branded companies.

Greg Gaskell operates as President over four locations plus truss and stair plants.  What this means for our customers is a local company well-positioned to meet their needs. Our experienced staff is well versed in the specific supplies, products and services needed by upstate New York builders, remodelers and homeowners.
